Mobile phone shop

Coles is one of the only 2 supermarket giants in Australia with over 700 stores across the continent and widely acknowledged as being one of the world's fastest growing retailers.
Brief
Coles was planning an entirely new concept for Australia: an in-supermarket phone shop. We were asked to design the shop identity, navigational signage and point-of-sale to work with the store fit-out designed by the Coles design team.
Solution
Since selling phones in a supermarket was unfamiliar to Australians, we kept communications very simple and friendly—we wanted to engender trust. We created a bespoke hand-drawn typeface to add personality, and designed the look and feel of in-store collateral including promotional signage, navigational signage, wall graphics, staff uniforms and literature.
