Brief
Our brief was to increase the perception of 'value for money' for the Wickes' customer. The campaign had to translate from television and press adverts right through to the in-store point of sale.
Solution
The campaign took inspiration from the classic red builder's pencil used throughout the building trade, it was named 'Red Pencil Prices' and it was our job to explore how this would work throughout the Wickes stores nationwide. The symbol of the red pencil was to become synonymous with the Wickes customer as a symbol of value and we developed a lock-up for the campaign that was used throughout all the marketing.
