Coles is one of the only 2 supermarket giants in Australia with over 700 stores across the continent and widely acknowledged as being one of the world's fastest growing retailers.
Brief
Coles asked us to develop a personality for collateral aimed at team members, which would unify internal communications and make them easier to recognise. The creative work had to be sympathetic to Coles’ visual identity while acknowledging that the audience goes beyond the supermarket to personnel in the group’s food, liquor and convenience outlets.
Solution
We created a strong but simple visual toolkit with its own distinctive colour palette. This ensures that team members recognise when communications are aimed at them, rather than customers. We also developed design guidelines to ensure consistency across a range of media.
